I'll start with reminding everybody that in less than two weeks our next meeting will be at the 10to1 headquarter in Edegem.
Places are limited and last time I checked, we only had 9 seats left.
So don't hesitate and reserve a seat at arrrrug.be
You've maybe also noticed that we now use the site Alain has build as the main arrrrug.be site.
This radiant site will remain the blog for now. So from now on you will have to subscribe for an event via arrrrug.be and not via Fikket.
Last but not least we have the outcome of the lottery.
During our last meeting Alain introduced the arrrrug lottery. People who reserved a seat, came to the event and submitted a small review for all the talks have a chance of winning the lottery.
Here is a list of the prices of this month.
Alain wrote a little script that gave me 3 names, the first one gets to choose his price first and so one.

The next meeting will be again at M-Village, the TrustedArea’s offices in Brussels who kindly offered to sponsor the location. This is just a 7 minute walk from the Brussels-North train station. This room will be the Ocean Room (Arrrr!). We gather at 19h, first talk starts at 19h30.
We have 45 places available, and there will be free drinks sponsored by TrustedArea. Subscribe to the event through the new ArrrrUG Talks website.
At the last meeting, Alain asked what you all wanted to talk about or which subjects you would like to learn more about.
He merged all this in an awesome website, this is why I love a developers usergroup, called ArrrUG Talk.
Go there if you want to give a talk or if you have ideas for futur talks or other meeting formats.

The next Arrrrug meeting will take place at Loft 169 – the headquarters of Openminds, Gorilla and Potato Factory. We gather at 19h, first talk starts at 19h30.
We have 30 places available, free drinks are available. Food is easily grabbed from either the kebab shop or Emily’s (french fries / pasta / …), both 50 meters away from the venue. Subscribe to the event through the Fikket event (remember to remove your name if you can’t make it!).

Update
Good news, Alain and Nathan will speak about ‘Rails Shortcuts’.
They will show their experience on how to design, build and deploy a non-trivial rails application.
Bert will talk about “Small things that will improve your Ruby performance” and a “Watch out for rails 3.0.3”.
